We've had a lot of excitement lately! Claire is standing and we think she is getting very close to walking. We think she is saying her first word, "hi"! She says it at the appropriate times and waves while she says it.
Grandma and Grandpa Christy were here for Easter and it was a lovely visit. Claire LOVED all of the extra attention. We went and saw the Easter Bunny, enjoyed the beautiful weather and played a lot.
One of her top teeth cut through this morning, so she now has three! Even though she is little, she is growing and changing so quickly. She is quite the entertainer. I just posted a new youtube video of her dancing. I can't wait to see what moves she will have once she is walking!
She is getting a little more adventurous with food. She is eating yogurt and mashed potatoes now!

It has been a while since I have posted and a lot has happened since then. I found out at the end of October that I would be laid off at the end of November. It wasn't completely unexpected, but it was still kind of a shock. I've had a few interviews but no offers so far. I am very happy though to be getting to spend so much time with Claire. It is truly priceless.

We spent two wonderful weeks in NY for Claire's first Christmas. We spent time with both the Christys and Jennys and Claire got to meet her uncles, great-grandmas and great-grandpa and lots of great-aunts, great-uncles, second cousins and family friends. She enjoyed getting to see her grandparents and Aunt Kristen again.

Claire is growing up so fast. She is eating rice cereal and baby food vegetables. She can wave (sometimes), and she just started to crawl. She has two teeth! She is developing more of a personality everyday. She enjoys reading books and playing with stuffed animals. Aunt Kristen gave her a Curious George doll for Christmas and he is her favorite toy. She smiles and lets out a joyful squeal whenever she sees him.

Almost crawling?

She may not be crawling yet but she sure is moving. We can't keep her on her play mat anymore. We set her down on it and we turn around and she's completely off of it. She can move around by rolling and wiggling. She looks like she's trying really hard to crawl and I think it could be very soon! Oh no, I thought I had some time before I had to baby proof everything. Check out her latest you tube video on the left side of the page.

Claire sleeps in her big girl crib in her own room!

Claire slept all by herself last night in her real crib in her room. She didn't cry at all and slept through the night! Mommy and Daddy didn't get as much sleep because we were nervously watching the video monitor. She is so independent!

Wiggle Worm

Claire is changing so much every day. She is now rolling over from her tummy to her back and her back to her tummy. She can also wiggle her way around her whole play mat and pack and play. She's usually in a completely different position when she wakes up from how we put her down. She is sucking her thumb all the time now. She has adjusted to daycare very well. She is always all smiles and they tell us she's the best one there!

She's getting so big!

Claire had her 2 month check up today. She is healthy and strong and she braved her shots well. She now weighs 10 lbs, 13 oz which puts her in the 75th percentile for weight! She is smiling a lot now and slept through the night for the first time last night. Grandma Jenny is here and both she and Claire are enjoying their time together and Mommy and Daddy are sure enjoying the help and good cooking!
